Stage 2 Water Restrictions begin July 17, 2024: The La Veta Town Board voted to enact Stage 2 Water Restrictions effective today, July 17, 2024, until further notice. What does Stage 2 Water Restrictions mean? It means if your address ends with an even number you may water on even numbered days and if your address ends with and odd number you may water on odd numbered days. Watering times shall be between 6:00am and 9:00am or between 6:00pm and 9:00pm in the evening. If you have any questions please contact Town Hall at 719-742-3631.

La Veta Brush Burn Pile to Open 05/20/2022

The Town of La Veta will open the Town brush burn pile on Friday, May 20, 2022 (weather permitting) from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for La Veta residents only, (proof of residency may be asked for) the burn pile is located at the La Veta Town Lakes. NO COMMERICAL BUSINESS WIL BE ALLOWED TO BRING BRUSH TO THE BURN PILE. The burn pile will be available for branches, limbs, leaves and yard waste. NO TREE stumps larger than 4” in diameter will be allowed. NO CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL, this includes pallets, doors, or anything from a construction site.
