Stage 2 Water Restrictions begin July 17, 2024: The La Veta Town Board voted to enact Stage 2 Water Restrictions effective today, July 17, 2024, until further notice. What does Stage 2 Water Restrictions mean? It means if your address ends with an even number you may water on even numbered days and if your address ends with and odd number you may water on odd numbered days. Watering times shall be between 6:00am and 9:00am or between 6:00pm and 9:00pm in the evening. If you have any questions please contact Town Hall at 719-742-3631.

Town Clean-up Day on April 23, 2022

The Town of La Veta will have Town Clean-up Day on April 23, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (weather permitting) for LA VETA RESIDENTS ONLY, (proof of residency will be asked for) NO COMMERICAL BUSINESS WILL BE ALLOWED TO BRING TRASH, EVEN IF YOU CLEANED IT UP FOR A LA VETA RESIDENT. Dumpsters will be located at the North side of the recycling center bins. There will be available for disposal for a fee; tires, TV’s, electronics, lawnmowers with the oil drained.  No refrigerators or freezers, no paint, liquids, oils or chemicals will be accepted.
