Stage 2 Water Restrictions begin July 17, 2024: The La Veta Town Board voted to enact Stage 2 Water Restrictions effective today, July 17, 2024, until further notice. What does Stage 2 Water Restrictions mean? It means if your address ends with an even number you may water on even numbered days and if your address ends with and odd number you may water on odd numbered days. Watering times shall be between 6:00am and 9:00am or between 6:00pm and 9:00pm in the evening. If you have any questions please contact Town Hall at 719-742-3631.
A public hearing will be held on July 6, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. to seek public input regarding the Amended Annexation Agreement between the Town of La Veta and the La Veta School District. This public hearing was re-scheduled from June 15, 2021 due to internet and technical difficulties that prevented the virtual hearing from being able to be held. This Amended Annexation Agreement is due to the change of use of the school property located north of the Town of La Veta. The hearing will be held by at the La Veta Community Center, 131 E. Ryus Street, La Veta, Colorado. Any interested parties that want to make written comments may do so by July 5, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. All written comments may be submitted by email to [email protected] or dropped off at the La Veta Town Hall, 209 S.
